In
the early stage of the process, seaweed as a major raw material is carefully
selected and sorted to meet certain quality requirements. This is followed
by the removal of salts and other soluble impurities by washing with water.
Under controlled conditions, the clean and hydrated weed is subjected to
alkali treatment and neutralized. After neutralization, the weed is chopped
and then dried using a continuos flow dryer equipped with sanitation facility.
The dried weed is then pulverized and ground into powder in various mesh
sizes. The resulting powder is primary blended, cross-blended, and then
standardized. During standardization, salts, sugar, and other food grade
additives may or may not be incorporated depending on the agreed specifications
set by the customers. |
